How Reallo actually works
The whole idea in five minutes. Reallo watches, catches, and moves the money your spending naturally leaves behind.
Reallo doesn't ask you to save. It asks for nothing.
Watch
Reallo connects to your bank through Akahu, New Zealand's regulated open banking platform. The access is read-only: Reallo can see your transactions but never sees your login, never holds your money, and you can disconnect any time.
Every spending category has a usual level. Eating out has yours, shopping has yours, subscriptions have yours. Reallo learns those levels from your real spending, not a budget you have to set.
Catch
When a category naturally drops below its usual level, that's the slack. A quieter week. A takeaway you skipped. A subscription you forgot about. Reallo catches the difference.
The money you stopped spending was never going to be a dollar you missed. So Reallo catches it before it quietly gets spent on something else.
Move
Every dollar Reallo catches goes to a destination you chose: cash, KiwiSaver, an investment account, or a split across them. You pick the destination once. From then on, Reallo just moves what it catches, on its own, every cycle.
You're never left short
Reallo learns what your everyday spending needs and treats that as a line it never crosses. It only ever moves the slack sitting on top. On a tight week there's less slack, so it moves less or nothing. The money you need for rent, petrol and groceries is never the money that moves.
No budgets. No transfers. No willpower. Your future builds quietly in the background.
